Ladies, Gentlemen and Members of the Board;
 
Allow me first to thank the players, their families and supporters, the coaching staff and the game officials for their respective participation in an exciting demonstration of skill, sportsmanship, and grandstand participation in the Junior Varsity "A" division Championship Game played earlier this evening (17-Mar).
 
Secondly, in the eyes of this observer, everyone walked away a winner. However, it was Newport Harbor who topped the scoreboard in this spirited contest for the division trophy. Congratulations are in order and to salute both finalist teams!

This game was played well, refereed well and without incident. Here's the box score:

Congratulations are also in order for NHHS' coach Cameron Monahan - an inaugural IHF All-Star player in 2008 and first year coach in this 2009 precedent of his winning the JVA championship in his first season as head coach.

California "State Cup" High School Championships
April 17-19 at The 949 in Irvine - Scholastic Roller Hockey Teams compete for the perennial State Cup - a California Classic! High School and Middle School teams from across California (and beyond) compete for school pride and spots in the AAU Nationals... THE qualifier tournament for the AAU Nationals in the southland, the State Cup is the preeminent tourney for scholastic teams in California (and area states without a qualifier of their own!).
